- Monitoring overall physical and financial progress of the groundwater development projects and environmental studies and coordinating with other divisions to ensure proper and timely implementation.
- Establishing a good client relationship and developing opportunity relevant to the groundwater development.
- Consultative direction in implementation of projects for conservation, utilization, control and multi-purpose development of the water resources of the country
- Formulation of policies for the multi-purpose development and water resources including ground water resources, the disposal of sewage and industrial wastes, forestation and the control of salinity
- Assessment of the possibilities, benefits and economic feasibility of development projects, cost invoicing and close monitoring of progress and coordinating with other divisions to ensure proper and timely implementation of development projects, takes appropriate measures to improve progress and productivity.
- Direction and supervision of all commercial activities, project works and projects related to the sub divisions including project financial control, collection of technical progress reports on a monthly basis and the preparation of monthly and quarterly performance reports.
- Preparation project proposal, preparation of estimates and TOR for hydrogeological activities such as hydrogeological survey, pumping tests, chemical and bacteriological analysis of water samples, borehole constructions etc.
